1. Policy & governance

Stafford Capital Partners’ Responsible Investment (‘RI policy’) summarises our core investment beliefs, including the commitment to the UN-backed Principles for Responsible Investment (‘PRI’) as well as a corresponding governance structure to support this commitment. It covers an implementation strategy to foster the integration of environmental, social, and governance (‘ESG’) issues into the investment process and across the organisation’s entire activities. It also describes how Stafford discloses and collaborates with external parties in order to help share our knowledge with the industry. Additionally, it highlights how Stafford aligns its people and the organisation with a more responsible and sustainable financial system.

Stafford’s Sustainability Committee is entrusted with overseeing the implementation of our Responsible Investment Policy and has a direct link to both the Executive Management Board and the Investment Committee of each business line. The Sustainability Committee is comprised of six members who represent Stafford’s service and business lines. The Committee members meet formally at least every quarter, with regular communication in between times on various ESG topics. The Committee has a direct link to the Executive Management Board which is ultimately responsible for oversight and implementation of Stafford’s RI Policy. The Sustainability Committee is chaired by Stafford’s ESG Director who also sits on the Executive Management Board.

Our dedicated ESG team, which consists of the ESG Director and an ESG Analyst, supports investment teams with ESG tools and training and initiates and coordinates ESG activities across Stafford’s business and service lines. Each investment team has a person responsible for ESG activities within the business line to ensure full integration of ESG into the investment activities.
